What does it takes to have a fireworks display?
1.) A reputable, safe and experienced pyrotechnics display company (such as International Fireworks Merchandisers Inc.).
2.) Insurance: Liability insurance to cover the display. (Above legal requirements)
3.) Permits: The State of Indiana requires a permit signed off by the local Fire Chief.
4.) The local Fire Department or other government agency may require other permits or have safety requirements.
5.) Site Safety Review: Review by International Fireworks Merchandisers Inc., the Local Fire Department and all concerned or affected parties.
6.) Budget: Now this is where it can get interesting. Small displays usually start at four figures and work up - cost factors include location, permits, insurance, operator, and let’s not forget the fireworks.
We provide the necessary insurance. We will get the permits, work with the local Fire Department and all concerned parties and yourself to give you the most spectacular display possible, with the greatest of ease for yourself.
At International Fireworks Merchandisers Inc., we will work with you to best design your display with your time, location, and budget limits in mind.
With all this in mind, International Fireworks Merchandisers Inc., is your one-stop shop for any fireworks display.
Fireworks Display Considerations
1.) Your display site is the first consideration for your display. Code and safety requirements state that you need at least a 300-foot safety radius from any spectators. The bigger the fireworks used in the display the bigger the safety radius required.
2.) We need time to review your site, get the Fire Chief’s approval, and obtain insurance and permits. We like to have 30 days to design your display program.
3.) Date and Time: You don’t want to compete with other events, and you want to make sure it is dark enough when you plan to have your display.
4.) After our site review, we can design your display. How big, how many and what kinds of shells and other pyrotechnics devices we can use for the best effect within time, safety, and budget constraints are the central considerations in this stage of the process.
